The disbelievers and forces of falsehood have repeated the same history of oppression and savagery across the earth. They call it strength, power, endurance and survival. That is why they have always tried to impose their false ideas and beliefs on Muslims through force and coercion. If we look closely, they try to suppress the truth and impose their own falsehood in its place.
The struggle between truth and falsehood has continued for centuries. Falsehood does not bow to truth, and truth does not bow to falsehood.
The history of Afghanistan’s mujahid people has always been a story of courage and sacrifice. No power has been allowed to continue its arrogance and pride here forever. Through their faith and mujahid spirit, the Afghan people have defeated emperors and occupiers who were far superior to them in material resources, weapons and worldly means. They defeated them through their faith and the spirit of sacrifice and struggle, and brought them to disgrace.
The British Empire was considered the greatest power of its time. It had set out with the ambition of expanding its control across the world. Wherever it went, it left blood and ruin behind. When British colonialism, like in other countries, tried to gain control over Afghanistan’s territory and politics and brought all its strength against the oppressed Afghans, the Afghan people, though weak in material means, were rich in faith and courage. They dared to confront the empire and defeat it for the first time.
Years of war followed. But through the sacrifices of the Afghan mujahid people, on the 28th of Asad, 1298 SH, the greatest empire and the mightiest power of that age took the road of flight and defeat. This was the first time in our history that a great empire was broken by Afghans before the eyes of the world, and it became a light on the path to freedom for other nations.
That is why Afghanistan is known as the graveyard of empires. For centuries, falsehood and disbelief have come to this land only to meet their decline and defeat. They have been broken here and left behind as some of the greatest examples of shame and humiliation in history. Following in the footsteps of our forefathers, defeating the powers of the time has become almost a tradition for us. Whoever in the world makes empty claims about its strength and power can eventually reach the same condition as Britain, Russia and America, when it no longer has the ability even to defend its own interests and territory.
In the light of this proud and heroic history, we send them the same message once again: looking at Afghanistan with hostility or as a weak country, and coming here in search of your own interests, can have very bitter consequences. In the future, you and your power may once again become a source of amusement for Afghans. So the pride, faith, values and freedom of Afghans must be treated with respect.
No one should look at this people as weak or without conviction. There is faith here, and there is the spirit of jihad. That faith and spirit are the Afghan people’s unchanging weapon, a weapon that does not rust. It has already broken three great powers.
