ISIS’s Mission: Creating Division Within the Islamic World

The pure religion of Islam compares Muslims to a building, where each brick represents an individual of the Islamic Ummah, supporting and strengthening one another. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) illustrated this in a Hadith, saying:
“Indeed, a believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts reinforce each other.”

In the Islamic world, Muslims are united by the bond of faith, where no color, race, ethnicity, language, or region holds significance without Islamic brotherhood. However, enemies attempt to destroy these deep and unbreakable connections in various ways, aiming to dismantle the unity of Muslims.

After the Islamic awakening, when Muslims recognized their true enemies, America sought to hinder this movement. Thus, its primary goal became to create divisions among Muslims.

Spreading discord, attempting to fragment Islamic countries, creating and supporting terrorist groups, launching attacks on Islamic nations, and imposing sanctions on some Muslim-majority countries—these conspiracies are among America’s key strategies to weaken Islamic nations.

Simultaneously, the creation and support of terrorist groups have proven to be the most effective means of dividing Muslims and weakening Islamic countries. For this reason, America created and supported ISIS.

Fanning religious differences, defending illegitimate and secular governments, spreading rumors and doubts, preventing Muslims from connecting with one another, exaggerating minor disagreements, and supporting biased and malicious individuals—all these tactics hold a prominent place in America’s strategy to sow division among Muslims. Now, ISIS has been entrusted with these responsibilities.

The primary objective of the creators and supporters of this malignant group is to foment discord and conflict among Muslims, tarnish the reputation of Islam in the international community, and divert global attention from the malevolence and depravity of the Zionist occupying regime.

This group, which a few years ago attacked parts of the Islamic world under the name “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria,” later infiltrated Afghanistan with comprehensive support from the U.S.-led imperialist and Zionist alliance. They made extensive efforts to destroy the unity and cohesion of the Muslims in this region.

Although this group claims to follow religious and Shariah guidelines, if one observes just one fact—that they have spared no effort to create discord among Muslims—their hidden agenda becomes clear to all.
