Dear readers, you have likely encountered discussions regarding the creation of extremist and terrorist groups such as Daesh (ISIS) by regional and foreign political entities, with assertions that these groups are not truly aligned with Islamic teachings. Nonetheless, we wish to provide additional clarification on this matter.
First and foremost, it is essential to note that any belief or ideology attributed to a religion must be based on the primary sources of that religion and the documented statements of its followers. If a certain action is condemned by the principles of the religion but people start practicing it, it is not acceptable and cannot be used as a reason to criticize that religion.
Therefore, Daesh, lacking recognized and credible scholars among its ranks, cannot be regarded as a representative of Islam or Muslims. Their wrongful actions should not serve as a justification for questioning the sanctity of Islam.
Daesh and other extremist groups that engage in atrocities and crimes under the guise of Islam are, in reality, far removed from the true Muslim community. Their ideologies and behaviors do not align with Islamic teachings.
Confidential and significant information regarding the origins of Daesh clearly indicates that the group was established and supported under the guise of Islam for specific political aims. Writer and political analyst J.C. Verlemann, in one of his articles, highlighted that a German newspaper had published documents that once again disprove the notion that Daesh is an Islamic organization.
These documents reveal that the plan presented for the creation and activities of Daesh was far from forming a religious group.
Furthermore, Edward Snowden, a former U.S. National Security Agency advisor, previously admitted that the rise of Daesh’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was the result of intelligence cooperation between the U.S., UK, and Israel.
Enemies of Islam have always attempted to associate the holy religion of Islam with Daesh’s actions. Nevertheless, the behavior of Daesh starkly contrasts with that of all Muslims, and this group certainly cannot be deemed a “symbol of religious guidance.”
