Officials from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, corroborating the consistent reports by Al-Mirsaad, have stated that ISKP operates training centers in Pakistan. These centers are utilized to train their fighters before deploying them to Afghanistan and other neighboring countries.
Recently, a media outlet affiliated with Pakistan’s military propaganda apparatus, citing sources from the counter-terrorism department, verified the existence of ISIS suicide training camps in Peshawar city and its vicinity. These camps are used to train ISIS fighters.
The media outlet, Khyber Chronicles, disclosed that within these training camps, certain trained ISIS members were tasked with carrying out attacks on Pakistani politicians and other specified targets. (Al-Mirsaad had previously reported in October that ISIS was planning to assassinate prominent religious and political figures in Pakistan, as well as those opposing the Pakistani regime.)
The Khyber Chronicles shared these revelations in a report detailing the apprehension of three ISIS members in Peshawar.
This media outlet maintains close affiliations with Pakistan’s military and security agencies’ press department, ISPR, and is also financially supported by them. As its name suggests, the outlet primarily focuses on the political and security situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas. Similar to other platforms supported by ISPR, it indirectly covers only the military’s narratives on its website and social media accounts without publishing other content.
