Martyrdom holds a lofty rank that has been bequeathed to the Muslim community by the Prophets. Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) always aspired towards it, yearning to be sacrificed in the noble path of Allah (Jihad) and to attain martyrdom.
The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) also endured immense hardships and made sacrifices in pursuit of this rank. Many of them were honored by Allah with this noble reward, becoming guests of the Houris in Paradise.
This sacred journey, which commenced with Hazrat Sumeyah and Yasir ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with them), will continue until the Day of Judgment. Many adherents of the noble religion of Islam have sacrificed themselves on this path, fulfilling their duty of true love.
Countless martyrs from our beloved and strife-torn country have joined this caravan. Over the past twenty years of Jihad, countless courageous men have joined this triumphant procession, astonishing the world with their valor and bravery.
It is a well-established fact that the beloved’s treasured gift is reserved for the esteemed lover and is bestowed at the designated time. Among these noble individuals is the hero of the Jihadi ranks, Engineer Hikmatullah, renowned as Saifullah, and affectionately referred to by his comrades in the cultural sphere as “Jawaad Badr.”
Martyr Jawaad Badr (may Allah accept him) was a valiant Mujahid who, in his youthful prime, embraced the path of truth and remained a steadfast supporter of this cause until his last breath. Neither separation from his comrades, nor the loss of family members, nor the vicissitudes of life could deter him from his chosen path.
Allah had endowed Martyr Badr with the qualities of a dweller of Paradise even in this world. His exemplary character, impeccable conduct, and warm smile endeared him to his companions, while his silence added further grace to gatherings.
Martyr Badr harbored a singular desire to join the esteemed company of martyrdom-seeking comrades. Eventually, by the decree of Allah, he realized this noble aspiration during this time of trial. On the 17th of Rabi’ al-Thani, 1446 AH, in Ghōr Province, he attained the exalted rank of martyrdom in direct operations against the Kharijites.
May Allah accept his sacrifice, elevate his status in Jannah, and inspire others to tread in his footsteps. Verily, unto Allah we belong, and unto Him we shall return.
