It is certain that success, progress, and development are not only personal needs of an individual but also essential for society and the nation. While the methods of achieving progress may differ in various opinions, Islamic societies always rely on religious evidence to enter the field of development.
Our beloved country, Afghanistan, which has long suffered from foreign invasions and internal betrayals, and remained distant from the path of progress, made a strong resolution to step into the field of development after the failure of the American invasion. However, suddenly, a fitnah (trial) arose, attempting to bring chaos and disorder.
ISIS was such a fitnah that not only made tireless efforts to prevent Afghanistan’s progress but also created numerous challenges for every Islamic country striving for success and development. The story of Iraq and Syria is quite similar to that of Afghanistan.
We have explored and studied the primary reasons behind the emergence of this cursed and destructive group on various platforms. I would like to highlight three key factors through which ISIS attempts to obstruct Afghanistan’s progress.
1. Prevention of the Strengthening and Continuity of the Islamic System
Initially, it must be emphasized that benefiting from a system is a vital matter; in a society without proper governance, progress can never be achieved. Thankfully, after immense sacrifices and unparalleled bravery from the people of Afghanistan, the Islamic system took control and remains in power.
Following the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and its ongoing efforts for development, ISIS garnered increased support from regional and foreign intelligence to impede this progress.
2. Attempts to Destabilize National Security
Security is a divine blessing and a crucial factor in societal progress. A society that is secure spiritually and materially will experience significant advancements in various areas such as reconstruction, science, military, culture, politics, and more.
After Afghanistan regained security following the end of the American occupation, ISIS sought to disrupt the national and public security to hinder progress in different sectors.
3. Destruction of Educational and Academic Institutions
Given that the advancement of any society relies on knowledge and education, ISIS has endeavored to impede Afghanistan’s development by targeting mosques and educational institutions.
It is evident that through knowledge and education, humanity has achieved remarkable feats, including space exploration and various technological advancements. However, the pursuit of knowledge and education necessitates national security, which is facilitated by a functioning system.
Currently, ISIS is pursuing these three objectives in attempting to undermine the governing system, jeopardize national security, and impede educational progress. Nevertheless, as this group espouses an un-Islamic ideology and serves as a pawn for foreign intelligence, it has been decisively defeated within our country.
