Pakistan’s military regime has once again stained its hands with the blood of innocent Afghan children and women. While the world watches the Zionist regime’s crimes unfold in Gaza, Pakistan has adopted that same savage approach against defenseless Afghans, showing the same disregard for humanitarian law. It’s as if it has sworn never to do anything except follow Israel’s lead.
In the most recent strikes, Pakistani fighter jets violated Afghan airspace and targeted residential areas in Kunar’s Shultan district and Helmand’s Garmsir district. The IEA’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, announced that nine civilians, including women and children, were martyred, 11 others wounded, and three residential homes destroyed. Behind these numbers lie human beings whose only crime was living in a border region.
Pakistan’s Information Ministry brazenly and shamelessly claimed it had targeted terrorist hideouts and killed 22 people. What terrorists? What hideout? Muhammad Habib, a 32-year-old local resident and one of the victims, was described as a poor, harmless man who made his living as a shepherd. Every morning, he’d take his goats out to graze, and every evening, he’d bring them back home. This poor shepherd, who had no connection to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) or any other group, had only one crime: living in a house that Pakistan’s regime decided to call a terrorist hideout.
The recent strikes aren’t an isolated incident. Over the past several months, parts of Kunar, Paktika, Paktia, Khost, and Nangarhar have repeatedly become targets of Pakistani air and artillery strikes. UNAMA has confirmed that from late February through early March 2026, at least 185 Afghan civilians were killed or wounded, most of them women and children. The repetition of these strikes shows that Afghanistan’s people are the ones paying the price for Pakistan’s disputes and security calculations.
Pakistan’s regime is following the same playbook Israel uses in Gaza: bomb an area first, then brazenly and shamelessly claim you targeted terrorists. But in reality, what’s left behind are children’s bodies and destroyed homes. The Zionist regime, too, has repeatedly justified its strikes in the name of fighting terrorism, while the actual result has been the destruction of residential areas and the deaths of large numbers of women and children. Now Pakistan is following the very same path. That’s exactly why people describe this as Israel’s “Asian form,” pointing to this same pattern of conduct.
Pakistan’s economy stands on its feet only through international loans, and its army can’t even properly secure its own capital. This is exactly the behavior of a regime standing at the edge of its own collapse, reaching for any kind of crime to hide its own failures. The IEA has insisted that Afghan soil will never be used against any country, but at the same time, it won’t accept any violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity either. The response to this kind of aggression needs to be calculated, decisive, and grounded in national interest.
Pakistan’s recent strikes carry one clear message: Afghan blood isn’t worthless, and destroying civilians’ homes can’t be hidden behind military claims. A regime that stays alive on the blood of children will, in the end, drown in that very same blood. The legacy of Israel’s crimes that has spread to Pakistan will, one day, catch that same regime by the hem of its own garment too.
