Recruitment of the Youth of the Ummah:
Undoubtedly, the youth play a central and indispensable role in the advancement of Islam and the reformation of society within the Islamic community. Throughout history, the Ummah has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the service of Islam, with its youth making exemplary contributions to the progress and prosperity of Islamic societies.
From the dawn of Islam to the present day, exceptional young individuals—such as Khālid ibn al-Walīd, Usāma ibn Zayd, Fatih Sultan Muhammad (Mehmed), Salah ad-Din Ayyubi, Tariq ibn Ziyad, Muhammad ibn Qasim, and others—have emerged. Through their unparalleled courage and sacrifices, they have etched golden chapters in the annals of Islamic history.
Recognizing the immense power of this vital segment of society, the enemies of Islam have targeted the youth, sparing no effort to undermine their potential and divert their energies toward destructive ends.
Indeed, one of the most devastating ‘services’ rendered by the Daeshi Khawarij to the enemies of Islam has been the exploitation of Muslim youth to further the nefarious agendas of Islam’s adversaries. These young individuals, once regarded as beacons of hope for the Islamic world, fell prey to the poisonous ideology of the Khawarij. In doing so, they not only betrayed their own potential but also struck at the very foundations of Islam and its sacred principles.
Prior to the declaration of Daesh’s so-called caliphate, this toxic fitna was largely confined to the cities of Iraq. However, with its expansion into Syria and the subsequent proclamation of its self-styled caliphate, the Khawarij launched a massive propaganda campaign. This campaign succeeded in luring countless young individuals, who abandoned their families and communities to join the ranks of these extremists.
The reach of this fitna extended far beyond the borders of Muslim-majority nations. It ensnared youth from Western and European countries, including France, England, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Canada, and the United States.
These young individuals, who could have served as ambassadors of Islam—guiding others toward its luminous path—became instruments of distortion. By aligning themselves with the Daeshi Khawarij, they misrepresented Islam to the Western world and became pawns in the hands of their enemies.
In Western nations, the digital landscape and the Khawarij’s sophisticated propaganda machinery played a pivotal role in their recruitment efforts. Despite the capability of Western powers to curb such activities, the relentless dissemination of false narratives and fabricated imagery led many young Muslims—both converts and native residents—to fall under the influence of this destructive ideology.
Through the production of deceptive and baseless films, Daeshi Khawarij crafted an illusion of a prosperous Islamic state under their self-proclaimed caliphate. This false portrayal misled countless Muslims, particularly the youth, into joining their ranks. Once recruited, these individuals were turned against their own faith and community, becoming adversaries of Islam and the Ummah they once sought to serve.
The tragic reality is that the Daeshi Khawarij served the interests of Islam’s enemies with devastating effectiveness. Their actions not only advanced the cause of global disbelief (kufr) but also inflicted profound harm upon the Muslim Ummah.
