Al-Qaeda mujahideen have killed several ISIS fighters in Burkina Faso, Africa, and confiscated their weapons.
As per a statement issued by Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin’s (JNIM) media wing, Az-Zallaqa, on Friday, the first of Sha’ban, their militants launched an attack on ISIS insurgents in Oudalan province, resulting in the death of nine ISIS members.
Furthermore, the statement highlights that the group managed to secure a PK machine gun, five Kalashnikov rifles, and various other ammunition from the ISIS members.
Prior to this incident, Al-Qaeda mujahideen had also executed successful ambushes resulting in the elimination of several ISIS members in Oudalan province.
Jama’at Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin (JNIM) is an active branch of Al-Qaeda in West Africa (encompassing Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger), operating under the umbrella of “Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).”
