On Sunday, the 6th of Jumada al-Thani, under the leadership of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the jihadist groups of Syria, following a series of successful operations, have announced the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria and have taken control of Damascus.
The victory of the Syrian jihadist groups has been celebrated by Muslims worldwide with joy and enthusiasm. In various cities in Afghanistan, including Kabul and Khost, individuals have taken to the streets to commemorate the victory of the Syrian jihad, chanting slogans of Takbeer.
Although the victory of the Syrian revolution is a joyous announcement for the majority of Muslims around the world, the Muslim-looking ISIS khawarij have sided with Bashar’s supporters and, since the first day of the operations, have directed their energy towards defaming the Syrian jihadist groups.
As per their usual habit, the ISIS khawarij have leveled numerous accusations against Syria’s jihadist groups, labeling them as Eastern slaves on occasion, and at other times as servants of the West. Concurrently, they have sought to exploit the situation to incite discord and chaos in Syria once more.
Recent reports reveal that over the past three days, the ISIS khawarij have launched approximately ten attacks in the Kurdish-dominated areas of Syria, utilizing their hideouts in the deserts.
The Syrian jihadist groups still require a lot of effort and work to enjoy the fruits of their revolution, but it seems that groups like ISIS, who stand as enemies of Muslims, will persist in their campaign of destruction and corruption to undermine the aspirations for a peaceful life under the banner of freedom and an Islamic system.
