Al-Mirsaad, citing its sources, reported that on Wednesday night, the Pakistani aggressive army conducted airstrikes in four areas of the Barmal district, Paktika, resulting in casualties among local Afghans.
It has been reported that among the fatalities, more than 15 are Afghan women and children, many of whom are from a single family. Moreover, it has been indicated that over 50 of those killed in this brutal attack were innocent women and children from Waziristani refugee families. This refutes the Pakistani military’s assertion that their operations targeted armed adversaries in Afghanistan, thus justifying any retaliatory measures against them under international norms.
Experts question how it is possible that armed and explosive attacks targeting Pakistani security personnel in South and North Waziristan are being organized from Afghanistan and executed by women and children. Firstly, there are barbed wires, trenches, and barriers along the Durand Line, and numerous areas are mountainous. Additionally, these regions are distant from the border, and even before this incident, confrontations and disputes between the Pakistani aggressive army and tribal groups were ongoing, with several peace agreements having been reached between them.
During that period, no Waziristani individuals were located in Afghanistan. In reality, the primary objective of the Pakistani military is to permanently seize tribal territories, eradicate their tribal identity, divert public attention from internal challenges, conceal its deficiencies in maintaining security, and continue its military strategy of securing funds and resources for the luxurious lifestyles of its generals. This decades-long approach poses significant risks to regional security, with far-reaching consequences that will leave no one safe.
