It is now widely acknowledged worldwide that ISIS lacks any legitimate or legal justification for its actions, ideologies, policies, theories, or warfare. The organization positions itself as the absolute ruler in all its endeavors, with the goal of bringing all Islamic countries under its control and asserting dominance over the entire Islamic world in the name of an Islamic caliphate.
It is now universally acknowledged that ISIS lacks legitimate or legal grounds for its actions, ideologies, policies, theories, or warfare. They portray themselves as absolute rulers in all their endeavors with the objective of asserting control over all Islamic nations and exerting dominance over the entire Islamic world under the guise of an Islamic caliphate.
The fundamental condition for an Islamic caliphate, an Islamic state, or an Islamic framework is that all actions must conform to the fundamental principles of the Quran, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the practices, statements, interpretations, and thoughts of the Companions.
Moreover, adherence to the traditions of the Tabi’un, Tabi’ al-Tabi’in, esteemed Muslim scholars, and political theorists is essential, with flexibility to adapt to contemporary needs while upholding established principles. These principles and regulations must not contravene the four sources of Islamic Sharia (Quran, Sunnah, consensus, and analogy).
Historically, the Khawarij have never adhered to religious guidance. They consistently deviated from the general path of Muslim scholars for material gains and psychological desires.
The current ISIS Khawarij are treading the misguided trail of their predecessors, failing to align with any Islamic scholarly thought and refusing to conform to any Islamic ideology, creed, sect, or methodology. They consider all their actions permissible in pursuit of establishing an Islamic caliphate, thereby disrespecting the esteemed religion of Islam and violating its principles.
In connection to the title, one of the glaring contradictions in the actions of the current Khawarij is their claim to establish an Islamic caliphate, yet they do not engage in conflicts with non-Muslim nations or send fighters to support what they perceive as the Islamic caliphate.
Instead, their warfare is confined to Islamic territories. This clear inconsistency lacks support in Islamic doctrine, as engaging in conflict within Muslim lands while purportedly seeking to establish a caliphate is inherently contradictory.
This reveals that non-Muslim nations benefit from the Khawarij’s efforts to destabilize Islamic countries, exploiting the “caliphate” project to sow discord within the global Muslim community. Their actions are baseless, lacking legitimacy and approval by any interpretation or pathway.
Why do the non-Muslim backers of ISIS encourage them into such contradictory behaviors? Their aim is to cast doubt on the authentic teachings of Islam worldwide, suggesting that ISIS’s actions, purportedly Islamic, represent the commands of Islam, thereby tarnishing Islam’s reputation.
Another instance of ISIS’s contradictory actions is their expansion in Syria and Iraq. They initially denounced the secular and democratic leadership of these countries as forms of disbelief, justifying their jihad against them.
However, they now collaborate with the I.S.I. intelligence agency, which provides them with hit lists for targeted assassinations. This agency opposes Afghanistan’s geographical and Islamic structure, directing ISIS to sow discord in Afghanistan and oppose its Islamic government, despite the agency’s affiliation with Pakistan’s democratic government.
The contradictory actions of ISIS unequivocally demonstrate their disregard for Islamic principles and human values. Instead, they adhere to the mandates of a hidden force guiding them, serving as their ultimate authority.
