Those who used to manipulate the economic, commercial, and global value of the weak by raising and lowering it are today struggling to uplift their own declining economic and overall standing.
In the course of a few months, the entanglement and conflict between Israel and Iran have suffocated the world’s economic and trade breath. A time also came when America became directly involved in this war. The reason for this involvement was the blockage of its own trade and economic routes, as well as the severe battering and potential collapse of America’s watchman (Israel) in the Middle East. The Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz have become the most critical economic and trade sectors of this pressure and conflict.
This route has dragged down America’s interests, economy, trade, and prestige to such an extent that it faced a severe decline and downfall on the international stage among the G7 nations, Europe, Australia, and the United Nations within a few days. The interesting part is that America’s economic, financial, and military power appears as if it is solely dependent on the Middle East and the natural resources and wealth of the Arabs. Otherwise, how is it possible that a country which could devalue the Pakistani Rupee by fifty percent with just a few sentences of opposing rhetoric now finds that its hostile words and criticisms have no financial, economic, or trade impact at all?
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, America’s entanglement in the war, and its compulsion to negotiate have caused it to lose its global value. It is a fundamental principle of world power that every word must lead to action and every power must be tested in practice. A power that controlled nearly half of the world’s natural wealth, reserves, and maritime routes lost its international standing due to just a few days of pressure. This might seem strange to some, but if reflected upon deeply, it is a visible reality.
America’s financial, trade, economic, and even the market for military hardware, investments, and other gains were largely tied to the Arabian Peninsula, the Arab seas, and the Strait of Hormuz. Due to the war, involvement, and flawed policies, these multi-dimensional interests are now at risk.
If Iran and other Islamic countries close these strategic and economic routes for America and regulate the arms market based on their own productions, America will lose its global economic, political, and military value. In fact, it might turn into a country of wars, internal conflicts, and instability. In that case, its harsh words and criticisms will no longer have any effect as a tool of pressure on the economy, politics, and trade of Muslim countries.
You will see that America will use various tactics to protect these interests, whether through peace or war. But if Iran stands firm in its resistance and deprives America of these routes and regions, then America will neither be the “old America” nor will its words have such immediate financial impact. It will then spend years trying to regain its lost value. InShaAllah, the current wars have forced it into a struggle to recover the prestige it has already lost.
