In continuing our exploration of the defining traits of the Jews, today we will examine yet another of their characteristics.
6. The Killing of Innocent People
Among the many evil deeds historically associated with the Jews is the killing of innocent human beings, a transgression deeply embedded in their collective conduct. This is neither a recent nor isolated occurrence; rather, it is a destructive pattern rooted in the behavior of their earlier generations, as will be demonstrated below.
Throughout history, the Jews have taken the lives of some of Allah’s most noble servants, namely the Prophets (peace be upon them), scholars, and righteous individuals. The Holy Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes this reality, pointing out that this grievous crime is not incidental, but a defining stain upon their record. As Allah Almighty says:
﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴾ (سورة آل عمران)
“Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the Prophets unjustly, and kill those who order justice among the people, give them tidings of a painful punishment.”
(Surah Al Imran)
Elsewhere, Allah Almighty states:
﴿وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ﴾ (البقرة: 61)
“And they killed the Prophets without right.”
(Al-Baqarah: 61)
Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyya (may Allah have mercy on him) observes that the Children of Israel did not kill Prophets merely once; instead, they committed this crime numerous times. Such behavior, he explains, is unmistakable proof of their persistent defiance and rebellion.
Furthermore, in Surah Al Imran, Allah links the descent of divine wrath upon the Jews directly to their rejection of His revelations and their shedding of innocent blood:
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ﴾ (آل عمران: 112)
“That is because they disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the Prophets without right.”
(Al Imran: 112)
Shah Waliullah Dehlawi (may Allah have mercy on him) similarly notes:
The history of the Children of Israel is filled with examples of oppression, unjust killing, and opposition to the truth. These events are documented in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and books of history.
The biographies of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) record numerous incidents illustrating this pattern. On one occasion, the Jews sought to martyr the Prophet himself, but Allah thwarted their plan before it could be carried out. The Prophet (PBUH) was sitting with several of his Companions beneath a wall belonging to the tribe of Banu Nadir. The Jews conspired to drop a massive boulder on him from above, hoping to martyr him instantly. However, Allah Almighty informed His beloved Messenger through the angel Jibril. The Prophet (PBUH) immediately rose, departed from the site, and returned home, thus thwarting the plot before it was realized. Shortly thereafter, the battle against Banu Nadir took place.
Even in contemporary history, the pattern remains unchanged. The world has witnessed acts of unparalleled oppression and brutality perpetrated by the Jews. Their aggression targets children, pregnant women, defenseless civilians, and other vulnerable groups, yet global institutions remain not only silent, but in many cases actively supportive.
