Anyone who enters into conflict with an enemy must have precise and comprehensive knowledge of that enemy. Such knowledge rests on recognizing his defining traits, his intellectual foundations, and the moral outlook that shapes his actions. Only with this insight can one discern how he thinks, how he formulates his strategies, and the manner in which he carries them out.
For several decades, the Muslim Ummah has been engaged in a long intellectual, military, and political struggle with Judaism and, more specifically, global Zionism. This prolonged and complex struggle requires us to understand our enemy deeply and accurately.
This enemy is not only a military aggressor; it also targets our community through thought, culture, creed, and economics. Therefore, it is necessary for the Muslim community to understand the ideas, strategies, and operational plans of this enemy.
The scholar Sayyid Qutb (may Allah have mercy on him) states in his commentary Fi Zilal al-Qur’an regarding the historical enmity of the Jews: The one who incited the Battle of the Confederates against the Muslims was a Jew. The one who stirred up the general public during the fitna in the time of ‘Uthman (RA), raised factions, and spread rumors, was a Jew. The one who initiated the fabrication and spread of false hadiths attributed to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was a Jew. The one who raised the cry of ethnic slogans during the final period of the Muslim Caliphate, was the Jewish Atatürk. Behind every fitna and conspiracy directed against Muslims, you will find the hand of the Jews.
Beyond this, behind materialist and atheistic thought stands a Jew. Behind the idea that humans are driven only by desire stands a Jew. And ultimately, behind every form of intellectual, moral, and social corruption, the hands of the Jews can be found.
Unfortunately, the Muslim Ummah has not yet been able to truly understand this oppressive and ruthless enemy in the way that this struggle requires. The Muslim community is still deprived of a clear recognition of the enemy’s true identity. Therefore, in this series, we will attempt, based on the Qur’an and the Prophetic traditions, to explain the characteristics, morals, and practical behaviors of the Jews, so that their true nature becomes evident to the people.
