This year, the auspicious days of Eid al-Adha were celebrated across Afghanistan in an atmosphere of profound peace, tranquility, and reassurance. Throughout the country’s cities, districts, and villages, the Muslim population observed their Islamic rituals with content hearts and peaceful minds. They performed their Eid prayers, exchanged visits, offered sacrifices, and conducted religious ceremonies entirely free from any threats or anxieties.
This secure and unprecedented environment has brought a clear truth to light: true security is realized only when the governing system emerges from the very heart of society, stands firmly on religious values, and is genuinely committed to serving its people.
Today, Afghanistan is experiencing a phase for which the people of this land had longed for many years; a phase in which security, stability, and peace are not merely slogans, but realities visible in the daily lives of the people. Undoubtedly, this great achievement is the result of the rule of the Islamic system and the day-and-night efforts of the security forces and Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), who, with a sense of religious and national responsibility, stand committed to preserving the country’s peace and stability and have thwarted the efforts of the enemies of security.
This system is not a foreign or imposed system; rather, it is a system that has emerged from the heart of this very nation, from among the people of this very land, and from the sacrifices, hardships, and aspirations of the people of Afghanistan. Therefore, its fundamental objective is to serve the people, safeguard the honor of the nation, and ensure the security and stability of the country.
In previous years, during the period of occupation and the puppet government, the people of Afghanistan repeatedly witnessed how the joy of Eids and religious occasions would be turned into tragedies because of explosions, attacks, and terrorist acts. Today, however, by the grace of Allah Almighty and under the rule of the Islamic system, that situation has changed. Now the people of Afghanistan celebrate their Islamic Eids in a secure environment, and children, women, the elderly, and all other segments of society spend the days of Eid without feelings of fear or anxiety. This great transformation is not an ordinary or accidental occurrence; rather, it is the result of the struggles, sacrifices, and prudent efforts of those who regard the security of the people as their religious and national responsibility.
In this regard, the enemies of Islam and the ISIS-Khawarij made many attempts to disrupt the security and peace of Afghanistan and to cast doubt upon the Islamic system by spreading fear and insecurity. On numerous occasions, they threatened to turn Eids and religious occasions into scenes of bloodshed. However, the vigilance of the security forces, the coordination of the intelligence institutions, and the tireless efforts of the Islamic soldiers thwarted all of their evil schemes and conspiracies. The enemies of this nation came to realize that today’s Afghanistan is no longer an easy arena for sedition and disorder, and that the people themselves stand firmly against their extremist and seditious ideologies.
The stable security and tranquility witnessed during Islamic Eids over the past several years demonstrate that a system founded upon Islamic Sharia has been able to gain the trust of the people and establish stability within society. Whenever a strong relationship of trust, coordination, and cooperation exists between the nation and the governing system, enemies are unable to achieve their malicious objectives. Today, the people of Afghanistan fully understand that security is the greatest blessing and the most essential necessity of any society, and that its preservation requires the collective cooperation, unity, and support of all.
Likewise, this widespread security also carries an important message to the world: a message that shows that, after years of war, insecurity, and instability, the people of Afghanistan are now moving toward peace and stability. The people of Afghanistan desire a peaceful life, progress, development, and a secure future for the coming generations, and the Islamic system is likewise striving, alongside the maintenance of security, to create opportunities for growth, prosperity, and greater services for the people.
Undoubtedly, the preservation of this great achievement requires the continuation of national unity, the strengthening of the spirit of Islamic brotherhood, and support for those forces that work day and night for the security of this land. Today, more than ever, Afghanistan needs coordination, vigilance, and the preservation of social cohesion so that enemies may not once again succeed in creating division among the people or targeting the security of the country.
In the end, the experience of this year’s Eid al-Adha proved that when a system is founded upon Islamic values, the will of the people, and a spirit of service, the result is security, peace, and public confidence. This secure environment is the product of the struggles, sacrifices, and tireless efforts of the sons of this very nation, those sons who have not hesitated to make any sacrifice for the honor of Afghanistan and the peace of its people. It is hoped that this lasting security will provide the foundation for greater progress, development, and a brighter future for Afghanistan.
