Following decades of war in the Middle East, the extremist group ISIS, which was nearing dissolution due to its detestable ideology, entered Afghanistan with the support of certain countries and the backing of the former Afghan government, thereby announcing its presence in the country.
The ISIS Kharijites, who possess a distorted understanding of Islam and work systematically to tarnish the reputation of this noble religion, have been engaged in combat against the Muslim population of Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate for several years, aiming to impose their vile existence upon this land.
The fall of the republic presented an opportunity for the ISIS group, as the country’s security forces were in disarray, leading to a security vacuum. The forces of the Islamic Emirate had not yet fully established themselves in urban centers, and efforts to restore order were proceeding at a gradual pace. Exploiting these circumstances, ISIS established hideouts across different provinces.
Security agencies accelerated their efforts to restore security and suppress these malevolent elements. As a result, for the past three years, operations have expanded in every area of the country where ISIS, guided by foreign collaborators, sought to disrupt the nation’s peace. The group has faced significant setbacks.
Recently, the operations against ISIS have grown more synchronized. Insurgents who persist in their rebellion are met with decisive action. Notably, security forces have professionally apprehended multiple domestic and foreign ISIS members.
These coordinated efforts by security forces underscore their dedication to swiftly eradicating anti-Islamic elements. They are determined to ensure that insurgents, acting upon foreign directives, will not succeed in destabilizing Afghanistan or subjecting its Muslim population to oppression and extremist ideologies.
