Targeting the Scholars and Intellectuals of the Ummah
One of the major malicious objectives of Daeshi Khawarij has been the assassination of revered and righteous scholars—those who serve as the true heirs of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the custodians of his message. From the very dawn of Islam to the present day, Daesh has relentlessly pursued this nefarious agenda.
The modern-day Daeshi Khawarij have continued the wicked practices of their predecessors, staining their hands with the pure blood of countless pious scholars since the inception of their movement.
In this context, the scholars who have most actively cautioned the Muslim Ummah about the threat of Daesh and resisted its ideology have become its primary targets. Daesh has employed various forms of deceit and treachery in its efforts to eliminate them.
One of the main rationales for Daesh targeting Islamic scholars and intellectuals is their role in exposing this destructive sedition. Throughout history, these scholars have persistently alerted the masses about the menace of Daesh and stripped away the Islamic façade it tries to wear.
Daeshi Khawarij aim to eradicate scholars to establish dominance over the uninformed, particularly the naive and emotionally driven youth. In doing so, they endeavor to corrupt their minds with toxic ideologies and foreign doctrines.
For this very reason, this despised group assassinates scholars and truth-seeking preachers—individuals who act as beacons of light amidst the darkness of ignorance. By doing so, they aim to pave the way for their sinister agenda and spread ignorance throughout Muslim societies.
One must not overlook the fact that this heinous act of Daeshi Khawarij greatly benefits the enemies of Islam. These adversaries view righteous scholars in Muslim societies as a major hindrance to their agendas and have sought to eliminate this impediment by any means necessary.
Undoubtedly, Daeshi Khawarij have surpassed the disbelievers in this regard (achieving what the disbelievers could not). They have manipulated the minds of the unaware, deceiving them under the guise of jihad and martyrdom operations. They have equipped them with suicide vests and dispatched them to mosques.
Despite the substantial financial resources expended by the enemies of Islam throughout history, they have been unable to carry out as precise and impactful operations as Daesh now executes without any remuneration.
An instance of such operations is the martyrdom of righteous scholars by Daesh in Afghanistan—scholars who not only devoted their youth but also their entire lives to guiding and enlightening the people in this region. For more than two decades, the occupiers and their local collaborators were unsuccessful in causing them any harm.
