Al-Mersaad has received credible information that, within the last 48 hours, security forces orchestrated a series of joint operations across three provinces, including the capital. As a result, five ISKP members were killed, and several others were captured alive.
According to insider accounts, these operations unfolded within the provinces of Ghor, Kabul, and Kunar, accurately targeting Daeshi networks involved in illegal activities this year.
In Ghor, the operation dismantled a famous ISKP network responsible for a brutal assault a few months prior, in which civilians were mercilessly slain between Ghor and Daikundi. Two Khawarij were liquidated, and one was captured alive during this operation.
Meanwhile, in Kabul, elite special forces executed a night raid that led to the death of two Daesh members, one of whom was a foreign national whose identity remains unconfirmed. Additionally, two other insurgents were captured. Sources further reported that a Khāriji was also killed in Kunar.
It is noteworthy that recently, the Islamic Emirate’s security forces have intensified operations against ISIS insurgents in the central and eastern provinces of Afghanistan. These militants are reportedly trained in undercover bases in Balochistan, after which they are sent to Afghanistan. Security sources have confirmed to Al-Mersaad that nearly all illegal activities attributed to Daesh this year has involved agents who were trained in Pakistan before being dispatched to Afghanistan in order to execute their missions.
