The Triangle of Instability in the Islamic World: The Covert Collaboration of ISIS, ISI, and Zionism

By Bacha Kakar

Pakistan parted from British India in 1947 and presented itself as an independent state, yet in truth it never achieved genuine freedom. The British army may have withdrawn, but the colonial mentality remained firmly in place, merely adopting a new uniform and a new set of faces.

Azad Kashmir or a Battlefield for Military Games?

The Pakistani Military Regime on the Scale of Legitimacy

From Ayub Khan to Bajwa and now Asim Munir, the destiny of Pakistan’s long-suffering citizens has consistently been determined by whichever appointed general holds power in Rawalpindi. The honorable people of this land have never chosen this regime, yet it has continued to impose itself through force and coercion.

For its own preservation, this discredited regime dedicates roughly seventy percent of the national budget toward the military, even as poverty affects nearly forty percent of the population. Alongside this economic imbalance lies a grim record of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and systematic plundering of natural resources. These patterns have shaped the darkest pages of Pakistan’s seventy-eight years of existence.

Since the day it was founded, Pakistan has repeatedly invoked the name of Islam and the language of piety as instruments to harm Islam and Muslims. Its history is saturated with betrayal and treachery. One telling example is its capture and delivery to the United States of Arab mujahideen who had forsaken comfort and family to confront foreign occupiers.

Although some people initially regarded the emergence of ISIS as a potential savior of the Ummah, it is now evident to all that this destructive organization was created to weaken Islam. Recognizing this, Pakistan enlisted elements of ISIS to advance its own malignant schemes.

This covert front did not end with Pakistan and ISIS. The close dealings between the Zionist regime and the Khawarij opened the path for a third, bloodthirsty actor to enter the scene. Together, they formed a dark triangular alliance of ISIS, Pakistan, and Zionism. Each component has its own identity, yet they operate beneath a shared canopy and pursue a common agenda directed against Islam.

The following sections outline several activities of this sinister triangle.

1. The War Against Baloch Freedom Fighters

A central objective of this triangle was the suppression of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a movement that rose not with separatist ambitions, but in response to the oppression and violence inflicted by Pakistan’s military.

This province provides seventy percent of Pakistan’s gas, yet eighty percent of its people live without electricity. The Reko Diq and Saindak mines are exploited by the army and Chinese corporations, and none of the wealth reaches the rightful owners of the land. The injustices and crimes committed there are countless and cannot be fully captured within the scope of a single article.

2. The Campaign Against Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)

Contrary to Pakistan’s propaganda and misleading claims, the TTP is not an Afghan import. It is a direct product of decades of military brutality. The harsh operations in Swat, Waziristan, and Mohmand claimed thousands of civilian lives, destroyed madrasas, and forced millions from their homes. These events ignited a spirit of resistance among the youth of these regions.

Not a single member of the TTP is foreign. They are all Pakistanis whose hostility is directed at the military establishment that has treated Pashtuns as second-class citizens for seventy years. This resentment has deepened more than ever and now threatens the very foundations of Pakistan’s military regime.

3. Efforts to Undermine the Islamic System in Afghanistan

The foremost objective of this alliance of Pakistan, ISIS, and Israel is the weakening of Afghanistan’s Islamic system. In just four years, this system has demonstrated the dignity and authority of an independent Islamic government.

ISIS attempted to undermine Afghan mujahideen during the American occupation. After being defeated within Afghanistan, its fighters are now trained abroad under the supervision of Pakistan’s ISI and Israel’s Mossad, and they attempt from time to time to carry out acts of sabotage inside the country. So far, every plot has been thwarted by the dedication and vigilance of the Islamic system’s soldiers.

Readers may ask why the Zionist regime would position itself alongside Pakistan and ISIS.
The answer lies in its pursuit of advantage.

Zionism has consistently worked to generate instability among Muslims so that no unified and independent Islamic power can arise. The suppression of the Baloch struggle, the conflict with the Pakistani Taliban, and the pressure exerted on Afghanistan’s Islamic government all exhaust the strength of the Islamic world and obstruct the emergence of any strong Islamic force.

For these reasons, ISIS and ISI should be understood as instruments. They are tools of destabilization, fragmentation, and obstruction, used to prevent any independent Islamic government from rising to strength.
