The military rulers of Pakistan have long invoked the name of Islam, yet their actions have inflicted deep wounds upon the Ummah they claim to defend. Every benefit they have derived under the banner of Islam has, in turn, been used to erode its very foundations. The ordinary Muslims of Pakistan, its political figures, and the broader Islamic world must now recognize that the country’s current establishment, comprising the military hierarchy and the ISI, operates behind shifting masks but with a single purpose: weakening the spirit and institutions of Islam. Their latest venture, involving direct engagement with the sworn enemies of Islam, reveals the true nature of their agenda. Senior representatives of this regime have reportedly visited Tel Aviv, meeting officials of the Zionist state and its institutions.
This visit stands as an open betrayal of Muslims everywhere, of the Ummah at large, of the ordinary citizens of Pakistan, and of the innocent women and children of Gaza whose blood still stains the rubble of their homes.
International outlets, including Al Jazeera and Independent Urdu, reported on March 19, 2025, citing the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom, that a delegation of Pakistani researchers secretly traveled to Tel Aviv. During their visit, they held meetings with members of Israel’s intelligence establishment and other branches of the occupying regime. They also toured several sites seized from Muslims through coercion and force, among them Al-Aqsa Mosque, the site of the Nova Festival attack, Yad Vashem, the Knesset, the Western Wall, and key areas in Tel Aviv and Sderot.
According to Al Jazeera’s detailed report, the visit was organized discreetly, with every arrangement handled by the Israeli organization “Sharaka,” which promotes ties between Israel and Asian nations. The purpose of the delegation was to showcase and reinforce relations between the Zionist establishment, its historical narrative, and Pakistan’s military regime, signaling a deliberate effort to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
Pakistan’s military rulers, who hold the reins of power within the state, now stand closer to Zionist Israel than to many secular or non-aligned nations. The covert trip, coordinated between the two governments, was kept under strict secrecy by Pakistan’s military leadership. Yet despite their efforts, certain details have surfaced in the media, and those revelations are bound to provoke a strong reaction from Pakistan’s mujahid public. Given that press freedom and freedom of expression are increasingly stifled in the country, this matter has not yet received the attention it deserves. It is therefore necessary to lift the curtain on these events and inform the Muslim masses and the mujahideen about the deceit and duplicity of their rulers.
Shared Objectives of Pakistan’s Military Regime and Zionist Israel
Expansion of Greater Israel: Israel is striving to widen the scope and recognition of its occupying administration under its broader project to consolidate the so-called “Greater Israel.” To achieve this, it seeks allies who can help legitimize its presence and advance its regional ambitions. For that reason, it values partnerships with regimes that are authoritarian, subservient, and militarily powerful. Pakistan’s puppet military establishment, with its record of repression and opportunism, fits that pattern perfectly. Both Israel and Pakistan’s regime were built on oppression and deceit; their goals and methods mirror one another.
Spreading Zionist Influence in Asia: The Zionist regime is also attempting to extend its ideological influence across Asia, particularly to Muslim-majority nations such as Pakistan. Its goal is to normalize the notion that the establishment of a Zionist state is an unquestionable right, while dulling Muslim resistance and silencing potential outrage in countries that have historically opposed such aggression.
Manufacturing Muslim Endorsements: Israel further seeks the cooperation of other regimes that outwardly identify as Islamic yet maintain discreet relations with it. Amid Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Gaza, these alliances help it craft a deceptive narrative, one that portrays its brutal campaign as justified, suggesting that even “Muslim” states endorse its actions.
Pakistan’s Opportunism: Pakistan’s military regime, meanwhile, finds itself mired in crises and under growing domestic and international pressure. In its desperation, it reaches out to unlikely partners, viewing collaboration with Israel as a potential lifeline to secure financial and political backing. This opportunism reflects the regime’s chronic dependence on foreign patrons for its survival.
Mutual Brutality and Opportunism: The military leadership also seeks technical and financial cooperation to maintain its machinery of coercion. To sustain its oppressive grip, it turns to states with advanced military industries, including Israel, whose governments have long specialized in occupation, surveillance, and warfare across the Middle East. Pakistan’s generals, following a similar model of repression, regard such collaboration as mutually beneficial.
Appeasing Western Powers: Beset by worsening economic conditions, Pakistan’s military and intelligence institutions are attempting to use Israeli channels to edge closer to the United States and its Western allies. In return, they hope to obtain funding, weaponry, armored vehicles, and other forms of material assistance to continue their internal campaigns against their own population.
Targeting Anti-Zionist Voices: Through its growing ties with Israel, the Pakistani establishment may also be attempting to identify and eliminate domestic and regional figures opposed to Zionism. Several reports suggest that Pakistan’s intelligence circles have discussed targeting individuals critical of Israel’s actions, further proving how far the regime is willing to go to please its foreign partners.
Taken together, these developments reveal a clear trajectory: Pakistan’s military rulers are striving to uproot Islamic influence in the region while tightening their own authoritarian control over the country. The people of Pakistan must recognize that their military establishment has effectively sold itself to external powers, functioning as a mercenary force carrying out foreign agendas. The state has been transformed into a hub where outside interests dictate national policy.
By cultivating relations with Israel and moving toward its formal recognition, the military regime has exposed the lies, deceptions, and hypocrisies that for over seventy years have been imposed upon Pakistan’s innocent citizens. How will this regime answer to the Muslims of the world, and to the people of Gaza, whose children and families have been burned, shattered, and displaced by Zionist brutality? What justification can it offer for building bridges with those responsible for such atrocities, for extending friendship to an occupier and conspiring with it in secrecy?
To the mujahid people of Pakistan: awaken and discern what transpires behind closed doors. And to the military and intelligence officers within the establishment, this message is for you as well. You have been traded like commodities, bought and sold, while decisions are made over your heads. It is time to awaken, abandon falsehood, submit to truth, and take your place among those who stand upon the right path.
