The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s forces have launched coordinated military operations along the Durand Line in several eastern and southeastern provinces against military installations violating Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The operations began on Saturday evening, targeting Pakistani militia posts in Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Helmand, Kandahar, and Zabul provinces.
Preliminary reports indicate the following developments so far:
– In Dand Patan district of Paktia, a gate and nearby military facilities were destroyed using armored tanks.
– In the Gevi post across the line in Dand Patan, at least six Pakistani soldiers were killed or wounded.
– In Zazi Maidan district of Khost, three posts were captured, resulting in casualties among Pakistani troops.
– In the Bandar area of Nangarhar, Pakistani forces abandoned their positions, while a post across the line in Dur Baba district was blown up after being seized.
– In Zazi Aryob district of Paktia, four Pakistani militia posts were captured along with ammunition and equipment, leaving eight soldiers dead and six wounded.
– In Ghashi Kando area of Kunar, Pakistani forces fled their posts.
– In Bahramcha district of Helmand, three Pakistani posts were captured along with ammunition; at least twelve soldiers were killed, and the positions were destroyed with tanks.
– In the Walgai area of Shamulzayi district in Zabul, one Pakistani post across the line was captured.
– Along the Maruf and Arghasan districts of Kandahar, six Pakistani soldiers were killed in attacks on their positions.
