ISIS, fundamentally a deviant group, stands in stark contradiction to the true teachings and values of Islam. Its extremism, violence, and deviation from Islamic principles have been strongly condemned by the majority of Islamic scholars and intellectuals worldwide, who regard it as completely opposed to Islam.
The group’s ideology closely resembles that of the Khawarij, who presented distorted interpretations of Islam and adopted a path of violence and extremism. Just like the Khawarij, ISIS also claims to represent the pure and true form of Islam. However, in reality, its ideology and actions are inconsistent with Islamic principles.
Today, many individuals have become aware of ISIS’s false narrative and extremist ideology. In recent years, the group’s acts of brutality, violence, and extremism have harmed Muslims far more than non-Muslims. While ISIS presents itself as a defender of Islam, its actions and beliefs are in direct conflict with the principles and values of Islam.
People now understand that ISIS is an extremist and deviant organization with no connection to Islam. Instead, it exploits the name of religion for its own personal and political agendas.
As time has passed, the true nature and false narrative of ISIS have become evident to everyone. The group’s extremist acts, atrocities, and ruthless attacks have led people to question and criticize its claims and propaganda.
Many Islamic scholars, intellectuals, and organizations across the Muslim world have explicitly rejected ISIS’s ideology and propaganda. They have conveyed a clear message to the public that ISIS’s actions and beliefs are far removed from Islam. These endeavors have significantly heightened awareness among individuals, illustrating that ISIS manipulates the name of Islam for its own personal and political agendas.
Through media, social networks, and religious education, public awareness has significantly increased. People are now better equipped to recognize ISIS’s propaganda and false narratives, making them less likely to be influenced by its so-called Islamic claims. Consequently, ISIS’s physical presence has diminished in recent years, with its power and influence significantly waning on a broader scale.
