Key ISKP members killed in Ghor province

The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced late today that two ISIS militants were killed in an operation conducted by security forces in the vicinity of Firozkoh, the capital of Ghor province.

In a statement, Zabihullah Mujahid mentioned that the operation took place on Sunday (17 Rabi’ al-Thani / 29 Mizan), in the Marko area of Firozkoh. During the operation, the commander of a local ISKP group, along with one of his key associates, was killed, and several other members of the group were apprehended alive.

Mujahid added that this particular group was behind an assault on the road connecting Ghor and Daikundi on the 9th of Rabi’ ul-Awwal, resulting in over 14 casualties. The group was also involved in attacks in Kabul and Bamiyan.

Zabihullah Mujahid reiterated, confirming reports from Al-Mersaad, that this group operated under the direct command of ISKP centers in Balochistan, where they received their directives and strategies.
