حامداً و مصلیاً، اما بعد:
Respected Muslim brothers! This is an era of fitnas; the Islamic Ummah and the religion of Islam are under attack and aggression from various sides. The disbelievers are attempting to strike Islam in one way or another; sometimes they come directly in the garb of disbelief to harm Islam, while other times they come in the guise of Muslims to distort Islam. All these fronts are operating simultaneously against Islam.
Today, one of the greatest fitnas facing Islam is the misuse of Islamic knowledge for the survival of a regime. In some countries of the Islamic world where secular systems are in power, “sell-out religious scholars” within these systems attempt to distort Islamic rulings to ensure the regime’s survival, so they can easily control the Muslims under their rule. Among such systems, we can point to the Pakistani military regime and its associated sell-out religious scholars.
Since its inception, the Pakistani military regime has always utilized the platform of Islam and the pulpit (Minbar) for the benefit of the system. These very sell-out religious scholars have justified all the illegitimate actions of the Pakistani military regime.
For the Pakistani military regime, enforcing secular laws is not a crime; bombing the Lal Masjid is not a crime; bombing Palestinian refugees in Lebanon is not a crime; joining the board for the occupation of Gaza is not a crime; passing laws for homosexuality in Pakistan, contrary to all Islamic and human principles is not a crime; bombing the homes of common people in Waziristan, Balochistan, and Pashtunkhwa is not a crime; and bombing mosques in Pashtunkhwa is not a crime. However, if someone in Pashtunkhwa or Balochistan stands up to demand their rights, then they are a criminal. This is the logic of Pakistan’s sell-out religious scholars. Their religious study is weighed on this intelligence scale, where they can only define religious rulings according to the interests of the ISI.
There is a circle among the Pakistani clerics that bears an exact resemblance to the military circles: just as the Pakistani military sustains the system through the force of arms, and the ISI sustains the system through the force of intelligence, this intelligence-linked circle of sell-out religious scholars sustains the system through the force of religious fatwas. If one examines the Sharia status of the Pakistani military regime, it is a system whose foundation is built on oppression, coercion, force, and intimidation. The Pakistani military regime is the only system that cooperated extensively with the Americans in toppling the world’s only Islamic system (IEA). From its inception to this day, the Pakistani military regime has remained an enemy of its own people and loyal to Western interests.
The crimes committed by the Pakistani government against Islam and Muslims are such that if any other country or government had committed them, Pakistan’s sell-out religious scholars would have issued fatwas of disbelief (Takfir) against that regime more than ten times by now. Those very crimes that, in the eyes of Pakistan’s sell-out religious scholars, justify the Takfir of other governments are considered “religious merits” for Pakistan.
To give an example: if, during recent negotiations between Iran and the U.S., Trump were hypothetically to visit Afghanistan, that would be sufficient grounds for the Pakistani sell-out religious scholars to declare the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as disbelievers. Conversely, if Trump visits Pakistan, it is considered a matter of pride for the country.
In Pashtunkhwa, the bombing of a mosque or a madrasa is labeled “Jihad,” but in Punjab, the bombing of a tavern or a liquor store is labeled “extremism.” If the Pakistani military regime forms a friendship with a disbeliever, an American, or an atheist, it is considered progress and good political relations; however, if the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan establishes diplomatic ties with India, it is interpreted as enslavement to Hindus.
Let the sell-out religious scholars of Pakistan be aware: Islam and Islamic rulings were revealed uniformly for the entire world. There is no such thing in Islam where Pakistan follows one type of Sharia while the rest of the Islamic world follows another. If anyone holds the view that Pakistani soil is exempt from certain rulings of Sharia, they should re-examine their faith.
Do those Pakistani religious scholars who seek justifications for the un-Sharia actions of the military regime not remember this noble verse:
«أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ» الایة.
They are scholars, after all. If the common people were to turn a blind eye to the un-Sharia status and illegitimate actions of the military regime, they might not be blamed, for they are merely the masses. But when a scholar stands up and justifies all the crimes and actions of a secular system, then what grievance can one hold against the commoner or the soldier?
There is a proverb that says: “If infidelity arises from the Kaaba, where then does Islam remain?” The situation in Pakistan has become the very embodiment of this proverb.
The sell-out religious scholars of Pakistan must reconsider their understanding of Islam. If they believe that merely calling oneself a Muslim with the tongue is sufficient, then Abdullah ibn Ubayy also called himself a Muslim, they should consider him a Muslim as well. If they consider people Muslims solely based on performing prayer, fasting, and giving Zakat, then Abdullah ibn Ubayy also performed these acts, they should consider him a Muslim too.
Yes, brothers! It is true that prayer, fasting, Zakat, and Hajj are the commands of Islam, but true faith is revealed when one takes a stand of enmity against disbelief and a position of mercy toward Muslims. However, the officials of the Pakistani military regime have always moved in the exact opposite direction.
It was they who provided military bases and passage to the Americans to attack the oppressed Muslims of Afghanistan. In the era of the Prophet (PBUH), Abdullah ibn Ubayy maintained secret ties with the disbelievers against Islam and was deemed a hypocrite; yet today, the Pakistani military regime maintains open relations and cooperation with the disbelievers against Islam, and they are regarded as Mujahideen and the protectors of Islam.
So the question now is: has the ruling of Islam changed, or God forbid (معاذ اللہ) are the sell-out religious scholars of Pakistan ignorant of Islam?
This is the question we leave for our dear readers to answer…!
