When we look at the history of successful nations and movements, it becomes plain that unity, mutual goodwill, and loyalty to their leadership are among the main reasons behind their success and honor. Alhamdulillah, today we can see clear examples of unity, solidarity, and obedience among the officials and members of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), and all of this comes from religious devotion and strong faith.
Today we hear with our own ears and see with our own eyes that, praise be to Allah Almighty, the obedience and loyalty that exist among the leaders and members of the IEA bring to mind the blessed early days of Islam. When an order or appointment comes from the Amir al-Mu’minin, you see no objection, no disagreement, and no defiance, and this very thing reveals their obedience, their commitment, and the rightness of their path. No institution or system can reach its goals in the face of major problems and challenges without internal cohesion, coordination, and commitment to a common purpose.
This truth has also shown itself clearly in the experience of the Afghan people’s jihad and struggle. What kept the lines of the mujahideen intact under the harshest conditions, and kept them standing firm toward their goals, was the spirit of brotherhood, unity, and obedience. When the members of a system set aside their personal interests and individual preferences and give priority to the common good, the conditions for progress and success are created. Islam itself has placed great emphasis on this very principle. The Holy Quran calls on Muslims to unite and forbids division among them, because division becomes a cause of weakness and the loss of strength.
In light of this divine guidance, whenever an Islamic society rallies around unity and the legitimate authority of its Amir, it gains the strength to stand against hardships and come out of crises. There is no doubt that maintaining cohesion and coordination in any system requires mutual trust, a sense of responsibility, and acceptance of collective decisions. The stronger this spirit becomes among the people, the more room there is for security, stability, and progress, and the opposite is also true: division, fragmentation, and self-centeredness pave the way for weakness and harm.
Today too, one of the basic needs of society is to preserve unity, to strengthen the spirit of cooperation, and to remain loyal to those principles and values that bring honor and strength. If these values are preserved, society will be able to take confident steps toward progress, prosperity, and a brighter future.
For this reason, unity and obedience are among the greatest moral and practical strengths of every successful movement. Through them, hardships become easier to overcome, and the path to victory, honor, and dignity is opened.
