Praise be to Allah, once again the blessed days of Eid al Adha passed throughout Afghanistan in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood. This Eid was not merely a time of worship, sacrifice, and celebration; it also served as a clear reflection of confidence, stability, and national calm for the Afghan people. After years of war, explosions, and insecurity, the Afghan nation today witnessed an Eid in which there was neither the smell of bloodshed, nor the sound of explosions, nor an atmosphere of fear and terror.
People used to go to mosques with anxiety and apprehension. In marketplaces, there was always the danger of explosions and mysterious killings, and families, instead of going out for recreation, would remain occupied with prayers for the safety of their loved ones. But now, by the grace of Allah Almighty, through the consolidation of the ruling system, the day and night efforts of the security forces, and the cooperation of the people, Afghanistan has become the possessor of unprecedented security.
We will never forget those bitter days when, during the days and nights of Eid, the hearts of Muslims were filled with fear, sorrow, and tears because of the enemies of Islam. Nor will we forget these sweet days in which, praise be to Allah, there is no fear, no grief, and no weeping. Everywhere there is peace, joy, and happiness. This is nothing but the result of the grace and immense mercy of Allah Almighty.
ذالک فضل الله يؤتیه من يشاء.
“That is the bounty of Allah; He grants it to whom He wills.”
The peaceful atmosphere of this year’s Eid conveyed a message to the world that the Afghan people desire security, stability, and independence above all else. Praise be to Allah, from the most remote villages of the country to its largest cities, people moved about with confidence and peace of mind. Eid prayers were offered in a calm environment, children were immersed in joy and celebration, and visits among relatives and loved ones took place freely and without concern.
This is a blessing whose true value the Afghan people now fully appreciate. Security is not merely a matter of weapons and checkpoints; rather, it is the foundation of a nation’s psychological well being, economic progress, and social stability. When security prevails, merchants conduct their businesses with confidence, students pursue their education in a peaceful environment, people travel with ease, and society lives free from fear. The crowded markets, the smiles on people’s faces, and the happiness of children during the days of Eid were living manifestations of this very security.
The security forces had put special security measures in place during the days of Eid. They remained vigilant day and night so that the people could celebrate their festivities in a secure environment. In the truest sense, they sacrificed their own comfort and festivities for the happiness of the people. Their sacrifices, night operations, and sincerity are worthy of appreciation, for it is these committed and devoted Mujahideen forces that have kept the strongholds of the country’s security firmly protected.
On the other hand, the Khawarij, troublemakers, and enemies of Afghanistan’s stability once again failed in their malicious objectives. They have always sought to turn the joyous occasions of this Muslim nation into tragedies, but their plans were foiled through the precise actions of the security forces, the preparedness of the intelligence agencies, and the cooperation of the people. It was proven that the Afghan people are no longer supporters of sedition, destruction, or the conspiracies of foreign powers.
Today, the atmosphere of security in Afghanistan is not founded solely upon military strength; rather, its fundamental strength lies in public support, religious values, and national unity. This nation will always remain successful and will continue to celebrate such joyous Eids so long as it preserves, supports, and appreciates its system, its security, and its values. This people, who have endured the pains of war for many years, now fully understand the value of peace and do not wish to return once again to the dark days of insecurity.
For this reason, every troublemaker and malicious element is destined to fail here, and they should not dream of achieving success. In this land, the preservation of security is not merely the responsibility of the government and the security forces; rather, every Afghan has played a role in safeguarding the country’s stability, unity, and security, and has remained vigilant against sedition and foreign propaganda. May Allah Almighty make our stability, peace, and happiness a means of stability and happiness for Muslims throughout the world. Ameen.
