The Ministry of Intelligence of Iran has reported that over the past few days, a total of 14 ISIS members have been detained in various operations.
In a statement released on Friday, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry declared that the extremists were captured in the provinces of Tehran, Alborz, Fars, and Khuzestan as part of a series of operations.
The detained terrorists had unlawfully infiltrated Iran in recent days with the intention of carrying out terrorist activities, as highlighted by the Intelligence Ministry.
Up to this point, Iranian authorities and media outlets have not revealed the specific means through which these individuals entered Iran; however, it is known that Daesh often utilizes routes from its current headquarters in Pakistan to transport individuals into the region.
