Rahmonov: The Motivator of ISIS

Emomali Rahmonov, the communist president of Tajikistan, has shamelessly claimed that the Islamic Emirate is imparting extremist ideologies to young children in religious institutions.

If President Rahmonov possessed a sense of religiosity, morality, and good relations with neighbors, he would have refrained from associating the Islamic Emirate with conflict and terrorism.

We firmly believe that terrorism, in any form, is oppression by one human being against another human being, the environment, creatures, and even over a hired terrorist.

We educate young children in religious schools that, as the holy religion of Islam considers human life as precious and sacred, it also deems the killing of an innocent person as a grave sin.

Furthermore, we instruct them: those who insult, torture, and shed blood deserve God’s wrath. Does this constitute encouragement for terrorist activities?

We are aware that after the defeat of Western terrorism in Afghanistan, global tyrants have never remained idle. Every day, they recruit a number of mercenaries in order to fulfill their sinister goals and perpetuate the cycle of brother killing brother through them.

There is compelling evidence that among the deceived and impressionable youth of Tajikistan, there are Salafi-minded individuals who have succumbed to ISIS propaganda. They have been selected to combat the Islamic Emirate and, through a clandestine plan, have organized themselves in the ranks of ISIS in Afghanistan, Iran, and other countries, carrying out destructive activities.

A notable example is the recent attack on the shrine of Shah Cheragh in Shiraz, Iran. According to Iranian sources, the perpetrators of this incident hailed from the Badakhshan region of Tajikistan, with one individual named Rehmatullah Norozhov. His Facebook page indicates that he resided in Rostov, Russia in 2019.

Moreover, a significant number of Tajik citizens are currently incarcerated in our prisons for crossing into Afghanistan from neighboring Tajikistan and partaking in numerous terrorist assaults.

Upon reviewing the aforementioned evidence, one can now anticipate and judge for oneself whether the Islamic Emirate promotes terrorism or if Tajikistan poses threats to Afghanistan and other countries in the region.

We staunchly believe that terrorism is fundamentally incongruent with faith, moral values, humanity, intellect, and conscience. It is condemned universally and unequivocally.

We fervently implore the President of Tajikistan to abstain from becoming a pawn of imperialism, to eschew clandestine Western machinations in neighboring territories, and to extricate his compatriots from the ranks of ISIS. It is imperative to foster amicable relations among the peoples of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, and to align with the peaceful endeavors of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for mutual gain and regional stability.

Furthermore, we call upon the fraternal nation of Tajikistan to dissuade their children from joining the incompetent and seditious ranks of ISIS and to prevent the senseless loss of their children’s lives.

ISIS, aided by Western entities, wages war against Muslims and jihadist factions while fallaciously portraying themselves as champions of authentic Islam and Sharia law. In so doing, they not only defame Muslims but also misrepresent Islam as a faith rooted in brutality and savagery.
