Since February 28, 2026, the direct attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior officials, the impact on the Strait of Hormuz, the fighting with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and damage to energy facilities in Gulf countries, all of this serves as a major lesson for Muslims.
At the same time, recent floods in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s tribal areas, since March, have killed dozens of Muslims, displaced thousands of families, and destroyed hundreds of homes. These two events, war and natural disasters, together carry a clear message.
First lesson:
Division and disagreement among Muslims leads to weakness.
The Holy Qur’an states:
«وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ» (انفال: ۴۶)
“Obey Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), and do not fight among yourselves, so that you do not become weak and your strength is not destroyed.”
Today, in the Middle East, the ‘Axis of Resistance’ network has been weakened. Shia-Sunni divisions, Arab-non-Arab rivalries, and the pursuit of individual national interests have given Israel and the USA the opportunity to attack Muslims one after another. The lesson is that Muslims must return to unity, instead of engaging in proxy wars and giving in to foreign powers.
Second Lesson:
Recent developments in the Middle East show that Iran and the Resistance Axis (Hezbollah, Houthis, and others) have been successful against the USA and Israel through asymmetric warfare. Despite all its attacks and threats, the USA has not been able to defeat Iran. Iran, by blocking the Strait of Hormuz and leveraging its regional allies, imposed high costs on the American economy and foiled its strategy.
The important lesson for Muslims is to further strengthen unity and joint resistance. Even seemingly weaker resistance can defeat a strong enemy, because patience, defense, and asymmetric warfare tactics against occupiers (USA and Israel) are effective, and America’s “maximum pressure” policy has failed once again in the region.
Third Lesson:
A permanent solution lies only in repentance, reform, and constructive diplomacy. Military attacks may bring temporary victories, but they create new problems. The human cost (casualties, displacement, economic crises) is very high. The lesson for Muslims is that they must fight against oppression, but in a just manner and in accordance with Islamic principles. The issue of Palestine, regional stability, and the rights of Muslims can be resolved only through unity, knowledge, economic empowerment, and prayers. Righteous people should promote good and forbid evil, so that the entire society does not fall into punishment.
Final Conclusion and Message: The ongoing rapid developments remind us that Muslims are the greatest and most honorable Ummah in the world, but they will only retain their dignity if they live in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah.
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ»(رعد: ۱۱)
“Allah does not change the condition of any people until they change themselves.”
So it is our duty to repent, perform righteous deeds, restore unity, and assist our afflicted Muslim brothers and sisters without hesitation. Let us pray to Allah Almighty for patience, healing, and support for those affected by the floods in Afghanistan and the tribal areas, and for those suffering from the wars in the Middle East.
O Muslims! This is the time not for neglect, but for awakening and reform. May Allah grant us all the ability to benefit from these lessons and restore the honor of Islam. Ameen, O Lord of the Worlds.
