Iraq’s official state agency announced that the governor of ISIS in Saladin province was killed in an airstrike.

The agency, citing Iraq’s Joint Operations Command (JOC), reported that four individuals were killed in the strike conducted on Monday in the al-Aith area of Saladin province. Among the deceased is Abu Omar al-Quraishi, who was appointed by ISIS as their governor for Saladin province.

It is noteworthy that Iraq was once the origin and stronghold of the ISIS insurgency. However, sources within ISIS have repeatedly mentioned that currently, the ranks of ISIS in this country are filled with spies, and internal conflicts have reached a critical point.
